Last Saturday, I had a terrible allergy attack- actually the worst I've ever had. The day was rendered pretty useless with my sneezing, coughing and watery eyes. Thankfully, I had the most wonderful cup of elderflower tea at a local café that brought a lovely, warm comfort.
But perhaps what I enjoyed more than the tea itself, was the ritual. The tea came to the table on a wooden tray and was steeping in the pot on the right. The server poured the steeped tea into the second pot, which had a strainer in the top to filter the tea leaves. That second pot was designed perfectly to be cradled in my hand with one finger on the lid as I poured the tiniest, proper cup of tea.
