One Word Wednesday...Nostalgia

Do you recognize this ice cream novelty? When the ice cream truck would come down the block, this was the treat I always wanted: the Pink Panther. I remember watching these cartoons as a kid and I loved the fluffy, sugary novelty that was shaped liked the Pink Panther's head- with gumballs as eyes. Imagine the delight when my work brought in an ice cream truck and you could CHOOSE ANYTHING YOU WANTED. My inner child did about 5 cartwheels and promptly ordered the Pink Panther.

Did you have a favorite ice cream novelty as a kid? What did you choose from the ice cream truck?

Rocket pop!!! We actually had a really cool neighborhood ice cream truck guy who let us take a one block ride in the truck once.

Ooh, this truck had both the Choco Taco and the Rocket Pop!!

My other favorite popsicle is the Astropop otherwise known as the Big Stick ( made by popsicle and in stores). It's a cherry-pineapple swirl.

Although a Choco Taco is a close second I would have to say a good ol' drumstick is my favorite and always takes my back. (We must have had the same ice cream truck driver because we got to take short rides also.) The cold sweet treat that takes me back the most is getting a Chocolate Malt (with wooden spoon) at an A's game.-eh

Ice Cream Sandwich. Lauren - I have to say that the Panther really freaks me out- he's so creepy (even if he is pink)!
